Yes. An additional 0.5% fee applies to all subscription (recurring) payments on top of the base 5% + $0.50 rate. A domestic subscription payment costs 5.5% + $0.50. If the subscriber is international, the fee is 7% + $0.50 (5% base + 0.5% subscription + 1.5% international).
Does Lemon Squeezy handle sales tax and VAT?
Yes. As a merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy calculates, collects, and remits sales tax and VAT in all applicable jurisdictions globally. You do not need to register for VAT in the EU, track sales tax nexus in US states, or file tax returns for transactions processed through the platform. This is included in the transaction fee at no additional charge.
What are Lemon Squeezy's payout fees?
Payouts to US bank accounts via Stripe are free (0% fee). Payouts to international bank accounts via Stripe carry a 1% fee per payout. PayPal payouts to US accounts cost $0.50 per payout, while international PayPal payouts cost 3% capped at $30 per payout. Currency conversion for non-USD payouts is handled automatically.
