When stores purchase your published apps from the Swell marketplace, you earn revenue from every sale. Track your earnings and receive monthly payouts directly to your bank account from the Earnings section of the partner dashboard.
Each time a store is billed for one of your apps — a monthly subscription or a one-time purchase — an earning is recorded for your partner account. Swell deducts a 15% platform commission from each sale, and the remainder is yours.
Earnings move through three statuses:
- Pending: the app charge has been added to the store's Swell invoice, but the store hasn't paid it yet.
- Payable: the store has paid their invoice. The amount is yours and will be included in your next payout.
- Paid out: the amount has been sent to your bank account as part of a payout.
Apps that use external billing are charged by you directly, outside of Swell, so they don't generate earnings or appear in the Earnings section.
Swell partners with Stripe to send payouts. Go to Earnings in the partner dashboard and select Set up payouts. You'll continue to Stripe to verify your business details and connect a bank account.
Swell never sees or stores your banking information — it is held securely by Stripe. Once your Stripe account is connected, your next payout date appears at the top of the Earnings section.
- Payouts are sent automatically once per month.
- A payout is sent when your payable earnings reach a minimum of $50. Below that, your earnings roll over to the following month.
- Swell doesn't deduct any payout fees — your payout equals your payable earnings at the time it is sent.
Each payout appears in the Payouts tab of the Earnings section, showing the amount, the earnings included, and its status. Once sent, funds typically arrive in your bank account within a few business days, depending on your bank and country.
