Swell handles large catalogs with ease—each store has its own database built-in. We have seen some users with millions of unique products. It is important to be aware of how you query large collections, as unoptimized queries may cause performance issues. 

If an attribute is being used by one or more products, it can't be deleted. This is to prevent accidentally removing attributes that are associated with multiple products. To remove an attribute, you must first remove it from each associated product, then it can be deleted.
